Live Love Spa Community Spotlight: Brisa Huezo

Meet the Spa Director Who's Finding a New Way to Lead by Slowing Down and Trusting her Intuition

Q&A with Brisa Huezo, Corporate Director of Spa and Wellness, Noble House Hotels and Resort

What's one wellness "rule" you think deserves to be broken?

If there's one wellness rule I'd happily break, it's the idea that wellness is one-size-fits-all.

Somewhere along the way, we've been told that if we're not waking up at 5 a.m., taking cold plunges, tracking every step, and squeezing in a workout before sunrise, we're somehow doing it wrong.

I don't buy it.

For me, wellness looks different. I prefer to sleep a little longer, enjoy a slower morning, and work out in the evening. That rhythm gives me more energy, more consistency, and honestly, more joy.

The truth is, wellness isn't linear, and it certainly isn't a competition. It's not about checking every box or optimizing every minute of the day.

Sometimes wellness is choosing the easier path.

Sometimes it's simplifying instead of adding another habit.

Sometimes it's saying no to the pressure to do more so you can actually enjoy your life.

The healthiest version of you may look completely different from the healthiest version of someone else, and that's exactly how it should be.

I believe wellness should meet people where they are. It should feel personal, sustainable, and joyful.

Because when wellness starts feeling like another obligation, we've probably missed the point.

Wellness isn't about perfection. It's about creating a life that feels good to live

Tell me about a 2026 wellness trend that you think is actually worth the hype…

Ammortal, I think the combination of technology, plus the invitation to slow down is so valuable.

What’s one change you’ve made in your spa this year that’s created the biggest impact?

It wasn't in the spa, it was in the hotels, embracing wellness across all disciplines of the operations has been the most impactful. This initiative reflects Noble House's commitment to a unified approach, beginning with our corporate team and extending across every hotel and resort in our portfolio. Initiatives include monthly wellness events, time during the workday for walking and movement, outdoor meetings, healthier cafeteria options, and a partnership with ClassPass to encourage fitness and wellness outside of work. Together, these efforts help create a healthier, more balanced workplace.  We are looking to expand this even more.

As far as go-to products go, what are you loving right now? What’s on your must recommend list?

I have such a long list of products I love, but lately I have been loving my Valmont routine combined with my Theraface and Redlight Mask to make my skin glow..

Tell us one lesson you learned the hard way this year, that everyone else can borrow instead? (Thank you in advance!)

I used to think multitasking was one of my greatest strengths. I was proud of being able to keep so many balls in the air.

But I've realized that when I spread myself too thin, I give less of myself to the people and things I'm most passionate about.

Sometimes doing less, and being fully present, is the better choice.

What would you teach someone if you only had five minutes with another spa professional?

Trust yourself.

Sometimes the loudest voice in the room isn't the right one. You know your spa better than anyone else. Trust your experience, trust your knowledge, and don't be afraid to speak up.

If your self-care game was a superhero, who would it be?

Captain Marvel. She's strong, intuitive, and resilient. I think people in the spa industry have incredible intuition, and that combination of strength and instinct really resonates with me.

What are you most excited to see or find at our National Wellness Month Trends event?

I'm excited to see more space being created for slowing down and truly prioritizing health, both physical and mental.

What is your team excited to share for National Wellness Month?

We're excited to share our first wellness retreat at Gateway Canyons, one of our Colorado properties. The retreat takes place at the end of August, and it's going to be an incredible experience.
